While we hope that the right conditions will prevail, it is very rare to not see dolphins. However, the itinerary is determined by the weather conditions and your safety. You should wear polarized sunglasses in order to avoid the harsh glare of the water and better appreciate the beauty of wild dolphins. It is extremely rare for us not to see the dolphins.

The St. Andrews State Park Campground Camp Store offers beach bike rentals. You can ride around the park loops and along the park roads, as well as the 2-mile paved bike path that runs through the park. This is a great place to spot deer and other wildlife in the park. Two short, easy trails allow for close inspection of the coastal scrub habitats and native pine forest.

Shell Island is a nature preserve with no restrooms or any other visitor facilities such as trash receptacles, picnic tables, or shade pavilions. There is no trash removal service. Island visitors are asked to be responsible and take everything they bring to the Island with them when they leave.

It is usually referred to as a barrier island that separates the waters of St. Andrews Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. But strictly speaking, it is now a peninsula rather than an island. Shell Island was an actual island in the past, right after the St.
 

This island is not as secluded as you see on the pictures and we couldn't find any of the cool shells either. (I understand that it's nature and can't be controlled).

Shell Island is seven miles of undeveloped scenery between the Gulf and St. Andrew Bay. At one point, Shell Island was inhabited by Native Americans, Spanish Settlers, and even pirates.
